2024 FIM ENDURANCE WORLD CHAMPION
Joining forces with the French pairing of Gregg Black and Étienne Massonon the Yoshimura SERT Motul team proved to be a career-changing decision for British racer Dan Linfoot who ended the 2024 season as an FIM Endurance World Champion.
A hugely-experienced racer who made his debut at an elite level back in 2005, the thirty-six-year-old’s first FIM gold medal was both well-deserved and hard-earned following four world-famous events and a cumulative total of sixty-four hours of close and competitive racing with the title only decided at a dramatic final round.
Racing into an early lead following victory in April at the world-famous 24 Heures Motos staged at Le Mans in France, Linfoot’s advantage was cut to a solitary point the following month at the 8 Hours of Spa Motos at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.
Worse was to come in mid-July at the Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours in Japan when he finished off the podium and Yoshimura SERT Motul lost the championship lead to defending champion YART Yamaha, but showing the dogged determination of a true champion he bounced back at the deciding Bol d’Or 2024 to emerge on top and claim his first FIM World Championship title
