2024 FIM MOTOE WORLD CHAMPION

In its second season since being elevated from FIM World Cup status, the 2024 FIM Enel MotoE™World Championship continued to electrify fans with eight rounds and sixteen points-scoring racesstaged in eight countries in the space of five-and-a-half months. Sharing centre stage with selected European rounds of the FIM MotoGP™ Grand Prix World Championship with Ducati as sole manufacturer, this year’s series saw reigning champion Mattia Casadei return to defend his crown and the Italian won the overall at round one in Portugal. Bronze medallist last season, Héctor Garzó Vicent got his campaign under way with two second places, but crashes in both races at round two in France were a serious set back. Following solid scores in Spain and Italy, Garzó Vicent claimed his first race win of the year at Assen in the Netherlands before storming to a double victory in Germany and he then went two-one in Austria to extend his run to seven consecutive race podiums and take a thirty-eight-point lead into the final round. In the San Marino decider Casadei equalled his best result of the season with one-two finishes, but Garzó Vicent’s fourth place in the opening race put the title out of reach.
