2019 FIM ENDURANCE WORLD CHAMPION
JEREMY’S JOY AT FIRST EWC TITLE
Jeremy Guarnoni became an FIM Endurance World Champion in 2019 after a ten year-career spent establishing himself as one of the best Superstock riders in Europe. The Frenchman made his debut in the FIM European Superstock 600 championship in 2008, going on to win the title two years later with five victories and eight podiums out of ten races.
After stepping up to the 1000cc class he soon became a race winner and consistent podium finisher, making several points-scoring appearances in the FIM Superbike World Championship and winning the French Superbike title in 2018, when he also made his FIM EWC debut with Team SRC Kawasaki France.
Guarnoni stayed with the team for the 2018-2019 FIM EWC campaign and made arguably his most significant contribution to their title success at the Le Mans 24 Heures, when he headed into the final hour on track locked in a three-way battle with Honda Endurance Racing and Suzuki Endurance Racing Team. Guarnoni hit the front in the final five minutes of a pulsating climax and held on for the team’s first victory in three years at the World-famous event.
That win gave Team SRC Kawasaki France the series lead and despite a mechanical setback at Slovakiaring, they were back on the podium with second place at Oschersleben to set up a title shot at Suzuka, when they heroically overturned a five-point deficit in the final round.
