2024 FIM ENDURO WOMEN WORLD CHAMPION

A two-time silver medallist in the FIM Women’s Enduro World Championship, 2024 was the time to shine for Mireia Badia (Rieju) as the twenty-eight-year-old Spanish star struck goldt his season. Badia under lined her credentials as a title contender at the opening round in Fafe in Portugal at the beginning of April where she followed up a solid third on day one with victory on day two. Just one week later the action remained in Portugal, but moved toValpaços where Badia seized control of the class when she backed up second on day one with victory on day twoand once she had the lead she refused to let it go. Next up was Bettola in Italy near the end of June where a dominant double win extended her advantage and demoralised her rivals and, following a tense six-week wait, she headed to Rhayader in Wales with the crown within her grasp. Badia’s second double victory of the series put the destination of the title beyond doubt and she wasable to finally emulate her legendary compatriot Laia Sanz, who she cites as an inspiration, as FIM Women’s Enduro World Champion.
