2024 FIM Speedway Under 21 World Champion – SGP2

Polish riders have enjoyed a long run of success in the FIM Speedway Under 21 World Championship (SGP2) with a clean sweep of the gold medals since 2021, but with back-to-back champion Mateusz Cierniak not defending his title in 2024 the way was clear for a new name to be etched into the history books.
Step forward Wiktor Przyjemski to take over the mantel of SGP2 king from his illustrious compatriot. Aged just nineteen, Przyjemski already had two consecutive victories in the FIM Speedway of Nations Under 21 competition to his name, but individual gold had always eluded him prior to the 2024 season.
Having not contested the Finals stages of the competition last season after finishing sixteenth in 2022, this time around Przyjemski qualified with second in France before racingin to an early series lead with victory at Malilla in Sweden in mid-June.
Following a nervous wait of almost three months before the second Final was held at Riga in Latvia at the start of September, Przyjemski strengthened his hold with second and then sealed the crown on home shale with another runner-up finish when the championship signed off the end of the month at Torun.
